Little Pathfinders Preschool began as a heartfelt dream—to create a nurturing, inspiring place where children can grow, explore, and feel truly valued.

Owner, Sandra, began her journey at a large corporation childcare center while working full time as a teacher and completing her Associates Degree in Child Development from San Diego Miramar College. While becoming an Assistant Director for a small private center, she got married to her high school sweetheart and they welcomed home their furbaby, Scarlett. Sandra continued her education and became a Center Director at a reputable childcare center while attaining a Bachelors Degree in Human Development with a minor in Organizational Leadership through Arizona State University. Sandra is well connected with other Early Childhood leaders throughout San Diego and the US in general. She believes it is important to collaborate with like-minded leaders in order to impact the world.

Sandra is married to a college professor who shares the same values in education - and early education at that. Together, they have two sons, the dog Scarlett, and two pigs named Pua and Oreo. In their spare time, they enjoy spending time with the farm animals, traveling, and attending sporting events - Go Padres!

Through Sandra's experience in different ECE organizations, a strong foundation in child development, and a deep passion for supporting families and employees, the vision for Little Pathfinders was clear: to build a center rooted in care, connection, and curiosity—a place that values and supports its teachers as essential partners in children’s growth and believes that it takes a village to raise capable human beings.

Sandra chose Ramona with intention—a town she loves and where she felt called to build something special for families. Its sense of community, connection to nature, and small-town heart made it the perfect home for Little Pathfinders.

Today, Little Pathfinders is more than a preschool—it’s a warm, welcoming space where every child is seen, every family is supported, and every little path is honored.
